Apollon
God of light, poetry and music. Son of Dias and Letos. When the god was born a golden light flooded the island of Dilos, his birthplace. Apollo was fed with nectar and ambrosia and became so beautiful that his father Dias named him god of light. Foivos (shiny), as they called Apollo, led the sun carriage every morning bringing light to the world. He taught people the art of music, of singing and poetry.
